Pooneh Aminian is a transactional attorney in the firm’s entertainment practice group. She counsels clients on entertainment and media law matters, with a focus on television, digital media, and film. She also acts as outside business affairs for a number of studios, production companies, and joint ventures, primarily negotiating development and rights acquisitions deals.
Prior to joining the firm, Pooneh was a transactional attorney at Myman Greenspan Fox Rosenberg Mobasser Younger & Light LLP, where she served as production counsel for a variety of unscripted projects for network, cable television, and SVOD platforms. In addition, Pooneh worked on behalf of actors, writers, directors, and producers in film and television transactions, and negotiated service agreements for influencers. She was the firm’s designated guild liaison and handled a significant number of credit-related issues arising under the collective bargaining agreements of WGA, SAG-AFTRA, DGA, and IATSE for theatrical, television, and new media productions.
Pooneh obtained her JD with concentrations in Entertainment & Media Law and Corporate Law. While at Loyola, Pooneh participated in the Entertainment Law Practicum and completed several legal internships at leading entertainment companies in Los Angeles, including NBC Universal and ABC Studios at The Walt Disney Company.
