
Daniel Sheerin is a transactional entertainment attorney in the firm’s Beverly Hills office.
Daniel’s practice centers on the development, production and distribution of television and film in all of their evolving forms. He drafts and negotiates agreements for rights acquisitions, talent (writers, directors, producers, showrunners), production services and distribution, counseling clients on transactions with Netflix, Disney, Amazon, HBO, Hulu, NBC/Universal and PBS, among others.
Engaged on the forefront of innovation, Daniel’s representative matters involve digital media projects, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and blockchain-based transactions, and cutting-edge intellectual property licenses among industry leaders.
In addition, Daniel represents entertainment industry clients across a wide range of business matters, including entity formation, corporate governance, private financing, mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures.
Prior to joining the firm, Daniel practiced corporate law in the Century City office of a national law firm, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, technology and digital media matters, and transactions with significant intellectual property elements. Daniel’s law school experience included an internship with Maker Studios (now Disney Digital) and the Cape and Islands District Attorney’s Office in Massachusetts. Before law school, Daniel was an accomplished drummer, playing on over one hundred studio recordings and touring the United States and Europe.
