Austen Parker is an associate in the Entertainment and Corporate practice groups. Austen has worked with clients on copyright and trademark matters, including copyright enforcement and trademark review and clearance. He is also experienced in a wide range of business matters, including entity formation, corporate governance, private financing, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures.

Austen graduated from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law with an LL.M in intellectual property law and received his JD from Charleston School of Law. While in law school, he served as President of the Intellectual Property Law Society, Vice-President of the Fashion Law Society, and he completed an international study program in The Hague, Netherlands, where he researched international intellectual property law. Also, during law school, he completed a legal externship at energyRe, a large-scale clean energy solutions developer, gaining experience related to drafting internal corporate memos, corporate resolutions, and  real property contracts. Prior to law school, Austen worked as Chief Financial Officer for Parker Marine Contracting Corporation, his family’s pile driving and pile manufacturing company in Charleston, South Carolina. Additionally, he received an MBA and an AB from the College of Charleston. During his MBA, he completed an international consulting project for I Was a Sari in Mumbai, India, a zero-waste fashion company partnered with the Gucci Equilibrium Project.
