enneth N. Swezey will be presenting on Copyright Terminations at PLI’s Intellectual Property Law Institute 2012, Thursday, September 13th at 1:45pm at the Warwick Hotel, 65 West 54th Street, New York. (Click here to register and for CLE credit details).

Mr. Swezey’s presentation will cover work-for-hire pre-1978 (and will overview Fifty-six Hope Road Music v. UMG), loan-out corporations, statutory gap, joint works (Scorpio Music v. Victor Willis, S.D.C.A. 3:11-cv-01557), spec scripts, remakes, sequels, and more.

Mr. Swezey focuses on transactional counseling in copyright, corporate law, digital media, entertainment, publishing and other intellectual property and commercial matters. He has substantial experience representing companies and individual clients in the emerging fields of digital media, social media and transmedia. His clients range from broadband television companies, well-known authors, publishers, entertainers, literary estates, visual arts agencies, as well as not-for-profit organizations in the areas of intellectual property entertainment. He is a frequent lecturer on intellectual property and digital media issues.
