he award-winning documentary Unraveled, produced and directed by CDAS Partner Marc H. Simon, continues on Showtime through October 3, 2012, (click here for schedule. Unraveled is also available for purchase on iTunes where it remains in the Top 15).

Unraveled will premiere on CNBC on Thursday, November 8 at 9pm and again at midnight EST.

“Bolstered by animated re-enactments and Bob Richman’s frosty cinematography, Unraveled is a mesmerizing one-man dive into narcissism, entitlement and unchecked greed,” writes Jeannette Catsoulis in The New York Times, (a New York Times Critics’ Pick).

Praised as “spellbinding”“the thrust of a Great American noir or black comedy” — the film has won wide acclaim including from The Los Angeles Times, Forbes, Slant Magazine, The Hollywood Reporter, IBT, The Huffington Post, in two New York Law Journal features, in an interview with Mr. Simon on CNBC, an interview on Bloomberg Law TV, in a special feature in the Business section of The New York Times, and in The Wall Street Journal’s Countdown to Hard Time.

In the New York Law Journal, Mr. Simon reflects, “Mr. Dreier is representative of many white-collar criminals like fellow Ponzi schemers Bernard Madoff and Allen Stanford “who have been exposed in the current era of financial and corporate crime. The film is a microcosm of all that we’ve seen. He is representative of these times, and I think that’s the value of this film.”

Before its run on cable, VOD and iTunes, the film enjoyed a successful theatrical run in New York, Los Angeles and Washington D.C.

Unraveled was co-produced by Miranda Bailey of Ambush Entertainment and CDAS clients Matthew Makar of Elementary Films and Steven Cantor of Stick Figure Productions. (Please click here to “Like” Unraveled on Facebook).

The trailer closes with this from Mr. Dreier: “It’s easy to say you would never cross the line, but the line is presented to very, very few people.”
