(Friday, March 2, 8:30am to 6pm). The event, which immediately sold out, addresses the new form of data processing, “Big Data,” in which computers analyze massive databases to make useful predictions, and the benefits and risks this brings, including threats to individual privacy. The conference examines the rise of Big Data and considers how the law can address its privacy concerns without hampering innovation. CDAS Partner Eleanor M. Lackman serves on the Board of CLIP which helped advise, guide, and plan the conference — CLIP’s marquee event of the year.
