Briana C. Hill is a partner and Co-Chair of CDAS’s Entertainment group and Co-Head of the firm’s Beverly Hills office. An industry leader in high-level entertainment transactions, Briana counsels clients in a range of sophisticated matters with a particular emphasis on development, production, and licensing deals in television, film, publishing, and podcasting. A trusted advisor to her clients, Briana renders outside business and legal affairs services for a variety of studios, networks, production companies, publishers, and rightsholders who are active in traditional media as well as evolving forms of exploitation and distribution.

Briana has worked on a variety of scripted and unscripted television projects for network, cable television, and streaming platforms, independent and studio-based theatrical and streaming feature and documentary projects, as well as digital and podcast productions, and has led negotiations on complex negotiations involving competitive rights acquisitions relating to books, articles, podcasts, and documentaries. As part of her broad practice, Briana has significant experience in negotiating “first look,” “overall” and similar relationship and “IP pipeline” deals on behalf of both studios and producers, as well as structuring deals around the intersection of influencer marketing and media, including the establishment of celebrity-driven podcasts, audiobooks, and publishing imprints.

Prior to law school, Briana spent several years working as a buyer in the fashion industry in New York City, an experience she credits with sparking her interest in intellectual property.

In her spare time, Briana enjoys ordering for the table at restaurants in both Los Angeles (her current home) and New York City (her former home), and is a frequent attendee at the Hollywood Farmer’s Market in Los Angeles, and when in New York City, the Union Square Farmer’s Market.
