Ariana is a transactional attorney in the firm’s Entertainment Group in New York. A highly versatile attorney with a diverse skillset, Ariana handles a wide range of entertainment transactions, with focus on rights acquisition, development, and production in the theater, television, film, music, and publishing industries. In addition to entertainment, Ariana has experience advising clients on general corporate matters including corporate formation and governance, for both for-profit and non-profit entities and both in-house and private practice, as well as counseling in a broad range of intellectual property matters, including copyright and trademark.
Prior to joining CDAS, Ariana worked in house at Essence Communications, where she handled production matters for Essence Magazine and the Essence Festival of Culture. Ariana was previously a corporate/transactional associate at a boutique intellectual property law firm and worked with a top-rated music firm, both in New York. Ariana began her legal career in house at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where she negotiated talent agreements for the University’s performing arts venue and location agreements for scripted and non-scripted projects filmed on University property.
