Simon N. Pulman is a transactional attorney primarily counseling clients in entertainment and media law matters, focusing on television, film, interactive entertainment, and publishing transactions. Simon also acts as outside business affairs for a number of television and film studios and production companies. He has significant experience in structuring and negotiating digital distribution agreements and other cutting-edge transactions at the convergence of traditional media and emerging technology platforms.
Simon advises a variety of clients including film, television and digital content producers, television and motion picture studios, financiers, startups, digital influencers, authors and esports teams in complex entertainment and intellectual property matters. He regularly prepares, reviews and negotiates rights acquisition deals, writing and director agreements, co-productions, financing agreements, content distribution agreements, talent services deals, endorsement and sponsorship agreements, publishing agreements and other commercial transaction agreements. Simon is also experienced in corporate matters including M&A and joint ventures.
Prior to joining CDAS, Simon worked as an Associate at Paul Hastings LLP and as Business Development Manager at Starlight Runner Entertainment, one of Fast Company’s “10 Most Innovative Companies in Media.” Simon frequently writes and speaks on entertainment and digital content related matters, and has been published in multiple industry publications. Simon is a graduate of Duke University and Vanderbilt University Law School.
