Simon N. Pulman is a transactional attorney primarily counseling clients in entertainment and media law matters, focusing on interactive entertainment, television, film and publishing transactions. He has significant experience in structuring and negotiating digital distribution agreements and other cutting-edge transactions at the convergence of traditional media and emerging technology platforms.
Simon advises a variety of clients including film, television and digital content producers, television and motion picture studios, financiers, startups, digital influencers and esports teams in complex entertainment and intellectual property matters. He regularly prepares, reviews and negotiates rights acquisition, financing, content distribution, talent services, endorsement and sponsorship, non-disclosure, licensing, publishing and other commercial transaction agreements. Simon also assists with corporate matters including M&A and joint ventures, and advises clients in social media and FTC compliance matters.
Prior to joining CDAS, Simon worked as an Associate at Paul Hastings LLP and as Business Development Manager at Starlight Runner Entertainment, one of Fast Company’s “10 Most Innovative Companies in Media.” In addition, he worked during law school as an intern in the legal departments of Country Music Television and 7 For All Mankind.
Simon frequently writes and speaks on entertainment and digital content related matters. He has spoken at events and conferences including Digital Hollywood LA, Digital Hollywood Content Summit NY, Merging Media in Vancouver and Social Media Club NY, and has been published in multiple industry publications. Simon is a graduate of Duke University and Vanderbilt University Law School.
