Michael K. Levin is an entertainment attorney, focusing on film and television work. He represents TV networks, studios, writers, directors, producers and financiers on the entire life cycle of a project and advises on rights acquisition, production and above-the-line talent agreements, through distribution and licensing/sale. He acts as business affairs counsel to a number of television studios and independent producers and regularly advises on guild requirements, including DGA, SAG-AFTRA, WGA and IATSE.
Mike also has experience structuring and negotiating film and television financings, partnerships and co-productions, including equity investments, loans (including tax credit loans), joint ventures and private placements. He also counsels clients on technology agreements such as MSAs, software and data licenses and other commercial agreements, and assists with copyright and regulatory issues in the media space.
Prior to joining CDAS, Mike was an associate at Arnold & Porter where he represented media companies.
